PUTTALAM – The achievements of the late K.A.Baiz,former Mayor of Puttalam who passed away recently under tragic circumstances remain as everlasting memories of the late philanthropist politician .
The following achievements remain monument in memory of the late Baiz who had rendered yeoman services to the people of Puttalam district.

7. More than 30 classroom buildings for various schools in the district during the tenure of former Minister and Chairman Marhum Ashraf
8. District Sports Ground including Swimming Pool
9. Modern Indoor Stadium
10. Colombo Face
11. Public Library with Modern Facilities
12. Modern Conference Hall
13. Replacing the Old City Hall Building with a Modern City Building to provide modern services
14. Solid Waste Management Project
15. Nedunkulam Development
16. Canal Lane Drainage Project
17. Ijtima Ground and Reconstruction
18. Ashraf Children’s Park
19. Beach Street Library
20. Kather Sir Water Park Development
21. Thillaiyadi Children’s Park
